Welcome to West Park, a charming residential community nestled in historic Goolwa and proudly operated by Edenfield Family Care. Surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of the River Murray and the sea, West Park offers a harmonious blend of private and communal living. Built around small, inter-joining homes and cottages, moving to West Park means stepping into more than just a room—it’s moving into a house you’ll share with a small group of like-minded residents.

Originally constructed in 1989, with 10 additional rooms added in 2001, West Park is a fully accredited facility offering secure and comfortable accommodation for up to 60 residents. Set amidst lush gardens teeming with greenery and birdlife, our homes provide a tranquil and appealing environment.

At Edenfield Family Care, we believe that social engagement and lifelong learning are essential components of healthy living. That’s why we offer a wide variety of activities at West Park. From radio-controlled boat building and racing on the nearby lake to craft groups, a mobile library, and a fortnightly coffee shop experience, there’s something for everyone.

We embrace a holistic approach to healthy ageing, making it easy for residents to choose activities that support physical fitness, mental sharpness, emotional well-being, and spiritual strength. Our programs are designed around being active, continuing to learn, getting involved, connecting with others, and ensuring each resident’s voice is heard.

Understanding Fees

Aged care,

Basic Daily Fee

All residents pay a basic daily fee of $65.55/day (85% of the single basic age pension). This contributes to everyday living costs including meals, laundry, and utilities. Indexed each March and September.

Hotelling Contribution

A means-tested contribution towards accommodation services, up to $22.15/day. If assessed for full government assistance, you won't pay this.

Non-Clinical Care Contribution

Means-tested, with a daily cap of $105.3/day, lifetime cap of $135,318.69, and ceases after 4 years of care.

Accommodation Costs

Three options: Lump Sum (RAD) — refundable, less 2% annual retention for 5 years; Daily Payment (DAP) — calculated using MPIR (8.34% p.a.); or a combination of both.

Definitely earn 5 stars. I'd like to say a big thanks to all the Edenfield staff the that helped looked after my grandmother the staff where absolutely wonderful and my family really appreciate all the care they've given to my grandmother.
