All rooms within this wing were either fully renovated or were newly built in 2008 building work.
Rooms feature wide doorways, carpet, an individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioner, lockable wardrobe with hanging space and shelving, chest of drawers which includes a lockable drawer, and full length windows to optimise natural lighting and views. The spacious ensuite has a hand basin and mirror, toilet, shower, grab rails in place for support and a night light provides additional safety.
Room sizes are a minimum of 14.88m2
Description of quality, condition, size and amenity of common areas to which a person living in this room would have access
Residents of Rotary wing are encouraged to utilise the Rotary dining room for meals. A pleasant lounge area is available which opens out onto an internal courtyard. All residents are encouraged to participate in activities in the facility’s large main hall (144m2). This area includes a large screen television with DVD player, a pool table, exercise equipment, a corner library, reading machine for those with visual impairment, computers with internet access and Skype facilities. A drink machine and water cooler are also located in this main hall area as well as a piano for sing-along’s.
A lovely outdoor entertainment area, complete with an outdoor kitchen is located through the doors from the main hall for residents to enjoy quality time and celebrate special milestones with their families.
Many residents make use of the outdoor seating available close to the main entrance as well as the sunny ambience of the front foyer area. Seating is also available inside the main entrance.
Art work adorns the walls throughout the facility with quality furnishings and fittings in all areas. A nurse call system is in place in all bedrooms and dining rooms as well as the main hall area.

Working out the costs associated with aged care can often seem complex. We understand that this transitional time is already hard enough for all involved, so we’ve made it as easy as possible for you, with a brief overview below.
Post 1 July 2014 there are three components to aged care fees.
The first is a Basic Daily Care Fee (As of September, 2023 $61.96), which all residents are asked to pay. The Basic Daily Care Fee is always 85% of the Aged Pension.
The second is a Means Tested Care Fee – which includes both an income and asset test. The Means Tested Care Fee is subject to annual ($33,309.29 per annum indexed) and lifetime caps ($79,942.44 indexed); full pensioners should not pay any means tested fee.
If you are deemed as a concessional resident you will only have to pay a basic daily fee, if not, you may be requested to pay an accommodation cost. Edenfield make available at 40% of its suites reserved for concessional residents as a way to give back to the community.
The last is the Accommodation Costs, which can be paid as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD), or a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or a combination of both.
We have a single price for all rooms at our facility. This recognises the reality that, in the course of their care, many residents move from one room to another, and one section of the facility to another.
Edenfield has set our maximum accommodation charge at $450,000. This payment is negotiated individually with every family and is based upon the financial and care needs of the resident. The interest on the outstanding amount is currently charged at 8.34% (MPIR (Maximum Permissible Interest Rate) the Government sets the maximum interest rate you can be charged, which is set at the date of entry to the aged care home.)
